What Dreaming About Your Teeth Can Do To Your Real Teeth!

Ever have one of those weird dreams involving your teeth? You know, the one where they're either missing, falling out, breaking, or even rotting? Interestingly enough, most of us have experienced this type of stress dreaming at one time or another. Some of the interpretations for tooth dreams include:

  • Attachment issues
  • Fear of letting go
  • Lack of Control
  • Dishonest intentions
  • Work Stress
  • Repressed feelings

I'm sure this list resonates with us... I mean, we're only human. But, the irony is that as we're having these dreams, we're now causing actual damage to our real teeth by way of Bruxism: the involuntary clenching of the jaws and grinding of teeth, which occurs mainly while we sleep. This is a common disorder that affects millions, worldwide.

If you're a bruxer, but think that the wear and pain is too minor for preventative attention, think again. Your teeth aren't capable of repairing themselves, and the years of wear and tear will eventually require many painful and expensive visits to the dentist. Being proactive with a night guard can save you from this, and can help maintain the health and beauty of your smile for life.
